An Assistant Teacher provides support and assistance to the lead teacher in the classroom during instruction and transitional times, such as directed lessons, free play, circle time, snack, playground, music, and lunch. They help provide a safe, nurturing, positive environment and help maintain classroom management.
The Infant/Toddler Lead teacher will develop a program along established guidelines and provide a safe, nurturing, positive classroom environment. The lead teacher works with the assistant teacher as a team to implement daily teaching and learning activities. Expectations of Infant/Toddler teachers are to be kind, professional, helpful, self-starters, and creative. Infant/Toddler teachers will design plans to meet the individual needs of each child in order to reach his/her maximum potential. Additionally, Infant/Toddler teachers need to adapt easily and be sensitive to the needs of the families, while meeting the constantly changing needs of the infants.

JCC Rockland Camps is seeking an enthusiastic and creative Low Ropes Specialist to support our camp program through facilitation of low ropes course activities. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, engaging with children, and designing fun, age-appropriate challenges that promote teamwork and confidence. Prior low ropes experience is not required; we will provide training on our course and safety procedures.

This role offers hands-on experience in photography, digital content creation, and marketing. The intern will be responsible for photographing daily camp activities, special events, and facilities, ensuring high-quality images are available for marketing and parent engagement.
Working closely with the marketing team, this internship provides valuable experience in visual storytelling, branding, and social media content creation—an ideal opportunity for students or aspiring photographers looking to build their portfolios.
