Campers spend time outside in the sunshine playing sports, climbing on the playground, splashing in the pool and mastering the ropes course. Indoors, campers exercise their bodies with daily activities such as yoga and sports and their minds with art, cooking, nature and stories. Seasoned counselors take the time to discover what’s unique and special about every child and specialize in creating a meaningful camp experience for their group.

JLand runs from June 27—August 23rd 2024 for ages 18 months–entering Pre-K.

CAMP WEEKLY THEMES—SUMMER 2024

Week 1: 6/27-7/3 (No Camp 7/4 & 7/5)

Great American Fair

Kick off Summer 2024 by celebrating America! Campers will dazzle during our annual USA Day Parade, and show off their wiffleball skills in a camp-wide tournament! Everyone will enjoy classic fair treats like apple pie, lemonade, hot dogs, and caramel corn! It is sure to be a party in the USA!

Week 2: 7/8-7/12

Crazy Colors

Join us somewhere over the rainbow! Each day will represent a different color, but campers will be mixing and matching colors while they paint their counselors! The Bubble Bus & an exciting Foam Party are on the calendar too! The week will be capped off with our famous Banner Day parade & Color Run. It is sure to be a colorful week!

Week 3: 7/15-7/19

Anything Goes

During this week, anything goes! Campers will face their fears, dress up in their favorite costumes, and enjoy our Watermelon Fiestaville! There will be other silly surprises in store, and an opposite day that will turn our camp schedule upside down! Time to get wild & wacky!

Week 4: 7/22-7/26

Superheroes Assemble

This week will celebrate all kinds of heroes! Everyone will enjoy our annual Camp Carnival with a superhero twist. We will also honor everyday heroes, such as firefighters, police officers, EMTs and more, with our first annual Touch a Truck event! The week will end with our Camp Cheer Off, which is going to be a super great time!

Week 5: 7/29-8/2

Camp Rock

Camp is all about play, and this week we are playing our music nonstop! Mr. Kurt & an impressive Silent Disco will join us to make sure the jams never stop! Karaoke Kraze, Name That Tune, and more will make everyone wish this summer song will never end!

Week 6: 8/5-8/9

Another Week in Paradise

This week will be a spectacular week in camp paradise! Dance at our luau, dress up as Rocky, and eat s’mores with friends. Who will be the winner of the Golden Shovel award? You’ll have to come to find out!

Week 7: 8/12-8/16

Barnyard Palooza

Saddle up for Barnyard Palooza! We are bringing the full farm experience to camp; churning butter, harvesting fruits & vegetables, and square dancing at our second annual JCC Rockland Camps Hoedown! Our popular ponies & petting zoo will be making their annual summer visit; so this week will have everyone “yeeing” and “hawing”!

Week 8: 8/19-8/23

Greatest Hits

We are turning up the greatest hits of Summer 2024! We will celebrate Rocky’s birthday, make Memory Boxes, and relish in the great times we had during the summer. We will end the summer with our emotional Closing Ceremony, which of course, doesn’t leave a dry eye at camp.
