Thank you all for being part of the JCC Rockland Fitness Family. It is our pleasure to have you!
Whether you take group fitness classes, lift weights, sweat it out on the cardio equipment or a court — behind the scenes we are working hard to provide an excellent experience for you, 7-days a week.
A new boxing circuit is now located on the second floor, opposite the TRX Studio!
This will include a 6’ hanging heavy bag, double-end bag, speed bag, teardrop bag and a Boxmaster, which is designed with pads placed at different angles to throw any punch or combination as if you are in a real boxing match!
Boxing is a fun workout, and a great way to release endorphins to help improve mood and anxiety. It can be adapted to all fitness levels. This full-body workout combines cardiovascular exercise and strength training to improve heart health, endurance, balance, and coordination.
Here are some tips to get started:
Our team of Certified Personal Trainers is here to help get you comfortable with the bags. Contact Fitness Manager Lisa Goldstein, to schedule.
The Core Stretch Studio includes equipment specifically designed to stretch your entire body, as well as equipment to strengthen your core muscles.
Our team of Certified Personal Trainers is here to help get you comfortable with the Elevate, and all of the pieces in the Core Stretch Studio. Contact Fitness Manager Lisa Golstein, to schedule.
JCC Rockland is proud to announce we are in partnership with Marcie’s Movement, which offers adaptive fitness classes for persons of all ages and abilities, including those with special needs. Alisa Jacobson founded the company after her older sister, Marcie, who was non-verbal and special needs. Alisa has been involved with special needs individuals all of her life.
Classes are 45 minutes, and are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 4, 5, and 6pm.
The first 10-15 minutes of class is dedicated to cardio training, and the remainder to strength and agility.
$50 per class (1 class per week)
$45 per class (2 or more classes per week)
Parents/aides are expected to be involved in classes to help assure safety of their child and to assist when necessary.
Parents/guardians need to maintain on file with the JCC a credit card or fill out a form for ACH.

With more than 70 classes on our weekly schedule–choosing the right class for your fitness goals can become overwhelming. Many times, we have several classes happening at once in different studios. The best part is, if you tried one type of class and didn’t love it, there’s probably still another fitness class that might be a game-changer for you. Here are some tips.
Seated Classes – Intended for those who cannot stand and exercise (for any reason) for 45 minutes.
Active Classes – Low impact classes with no transitions from the floor to standing.
Body Conditioning/Functional Fitness/Dynamic Strength Circuits – Classes include cardio movements and strength training. Might include repeated floor planks, burpees, overhead strength moves, etc. Participants should be able to perform these moves as intended and find them challenging.
Fitness 450/450 Cycling/Pump and Agility/HIIT Cardio/Fit Fusion/Boxing – Intended for those looking to push themselves outside of their comfort zone. Think: Go breathless, recover, repeat.
Barre/Pilates/Yoga – Intended for those looking to improve core strength, balance, and posture. Strength movements typically include light weights, straps, and bodyweight exercises
We offer a variety of Pickleball clinics and specialty workshops throughout the year.
Clinic dates and details are posted on our Pickleball page.

The booking window for all reservations opens 3 days prior at 2pm. The most efficient way to book is on the app. You may also ask our reception team to make the reservation for you, but we kindly ask that you do not ask our receptionists to book a session before the window opens. They will not be able to accommodate this request. You can set a reminder to book any future class as soon as the booking window opens by simply hitting the bell icon on the reservation list.
You may find yourself on a waiting list for a class or court time. When spots become available, everyone on the waitlist receives a notification at the same time. Bookings then happen on a first-come, first serve basis.
If you book a timeslot and decide not to play, kindly unbook yourself.
