Update to Reservations Policy

We designed the Reservations policy based on member feedback and to help ease the waitlists for classes.

We have updated the reservations policy to allow cancellations up to 2-hours prior to the reservations start time. For example, if you are booked into a 9am class and no longer can attend, you can unbook your reservation until 7am that day.

We understand that “life happens.” You oversleep, need to work late, etc. Simply reach out to us. We get it. We are human too. Call 845.362.4400 or email membership@jccrockland.org and we will be happy to assist you.

Class instructors will be checking you in. Feel free to confirm with them before/after class. Reception staff will check-in Pickleball, Racquetball, and Pick-up Basket basketball players.

How to Choose the Right Group Fitness Class

With more than 70 classes on our weekly schedule–choosing the right class for your fitness goals can become overwhelming. Many times, we have several classes happening at once in different studios. The best part is, if you tried one type of class and didn’t love it, there’s probably still another fitness class that might be a game-changer for you. Here are some tips.

Seated Classes - Intended for those who cannot stand and exercise (for any reason) for 45 minutes.

Active Classes - Low impact classes with no transitions from the floor to standing.

Body Conditioning/Functional Fitness/Dynamic Strength Circuits - Classes include cardio movements and strength training. Might include repeated floor planks, burpees, overhead strength moves, etc. Participants should be able to perform these moves as intended and find them challenging.

Fitness 450/450 Cycling/Pump and Agility/HIIT Cardio/Fit Fusion/Boxing - Intended for those looking to push themselves outside of their comfort zone. Think: Go breathless, recover, repeat.

Barre/Pilates/Yoga - Intended for those looking to improve core strength, balance, and posture. Strength movements typically include light weights, straps, and bodyweight exercises

Pilates Reformer Group Classes

These are offered on an ongoing basis in 4-week session packages. We have classes for beginners and those with Pilates Reformer experience. To read more about the benefits of Pilates, click here. APP for Reservations & More

You have access to 100s of workouts on the Technogym App. To find them, select the “Workout” tab at the bottom of your screen. Try them at the J or anywhere. Take a scroll through, and see what appeals to you.

Each has easy-to-follow instructional videos. Here are three we are loving right now.

• Core Conditioning (13 minutes)
• Mobile Hips (10 minutes)


Is your phone screen too small? You can access the same reservation system that’s on the Technogym App from your tablet, laptop, or desktop computer.

Use this link to make class or court-time reservations, this link to take an on demand class, or try an on demand workout. Use the same username and password that you use for the Technogym App.

Technogym App Updates

iPads

Great news! The Technogym App is now available for iPads. You can make reservations, take virtual classes, and more, all from your iPad.


Is Your App slow? Here are troubleshooting tips

  1. Do you have too many Apps open at once? Keeping the Technogym App active on your screen means it is never refreshing. We recommend closing all apps on your phone each night. On iPhones, go to your home screen, and swipe up. Continue swiping up until all of the windows are closed. On Android phones, press the icon at the bottom of your screen, and swipe up to close all windows.
  2. Check Your Phone Settings. Make sure your phone software is up to date, and you have ample storage on your phone.
  3. Make sure the Technogym App is up-to-date on your phone.
    1. Open your App store, and search for Technogym
    2. Open it in the App store.
    3. If you see “update” press it. If you see “open” you are up to date.
  4. Enable Automatic Updates on your Phone
    1. Open settings
    2. Select your App store.
    3. Activate the flag next to Automatic Downloads.

Booking & Reservations

The booking window for all reservations opens 3 days prior at 2pm. The most efficient way to book is on the app. You may also ask our reception team to make the reservation for you, but we kindly ask that you do not ask our receptionists to book a session before the window opens. They will not be able to accommodate this request. You can set a reminder to book any future class as soon as the booking window opens by simply hitting the bell icon on the reservation list.

You may find yourself on a waiting list for a class or court time. When spots become available, everyone on the waitlist receives a notification at the same time. Bookings then happen on a first-come, first serve basis.

If you book a timeslot and decide not to play, kindly unbook yourself.
