STAND WITH THE JCC
IN MARCH, JCC Rockland was forced to close its doors as Covid-19 took its toll throughout New York. The very mission of the JCC — connecting the community — has been threated. Revenue has dropped by 85 percent since the outbreak of the virus. We need to raise a minimum of $180,000 to support our operations.
Yet even as the virus took its toll, the JCC went to work, figuring out how to best help our community in this time of need. Through the pandemic, the JCC has:
- Offered virtual fitness classes so you can stay strong and healthy
- Provided virtual Shabbat programs for family connections
- Run a myriad of educational and fun children’s activities
- Checked in on our seniors and offered assistance when needed
But this is not where we need to be. Last year, 100 children were enrolled in our early childhood program. Camp hosted around 300 kids. The Chazen Senior Center provided programs for hundreds of seniors each week. The 1,800 members who work out in the Russin Fitness Center still cannot do so.
All of this adds up to an imperiled future. Please Stand With the JCC and show your support. If you make an annual gift, we are asking that you give generously on top of it. If you are a new donor, help ensure that the JCC will be here when we can once again open our doors to welcome you.
