Film Festival FAQs

JCC Rockland will present the VIRTUAL 17th Annual International Jewish Film Festival exploring the diversity of Jewish experience around the world. Coming up in June and July 2020. Below are some frequently asked questions about how this switch to virtual will affect this year’s film festival experience.

Will all of the originally scheduled films be available virtually?
All of the originally scheduled films will be available except for Breaking Bread. This film is being replaced by There Was No Silence. If you had a ticket for Breaking Bread and have not yet selected an alternative film, please contact Rachel Appell by June 28, 2020. If you do not select an alternative film by this time, your ticket will automatically switch over to There Was No Silence.

How will I access the films?
When purchasing tickets you will be prompted to create an account with Eventive. Your tickets will be viewable in the “My Tickets” section of Eventive. A reminder email will be sent out shortly before the date and time they are listed as available and each film will be accessible for 48 hours.

Can I watch the films more than once?
You can pause and restart a film as many times as you want within the 48 hour period it is available. However, remember that each link and password is unique and may only be opened through the email it is originally sent to and cannot be subsequently shared.

I already purchased tickets before the pandemic. Will they still be honored?
Yes! Any tickets or packages already purchased will now be honored as virtual tickets. If you bought tickets and have not received communication confirming your email, please contact Rachel Appell.

What if I bought a ticket for a friend?
If you purchased tickets for those outside your household, please contact Rachel Appell with the names and emails of the patrons whom you would like to receive digital tickets before June 19, 2020.

What if the dates don’t work for me?
If you will be unable to view the film in the 48 hour window in which it will be available, please contact Rachel Appell prior to the anticipated dates of the film.

What films do I have tickets for?
You should have an emailed receipt from your original purchase, detailing how many tickets and for which films you have purchased. If you are STILL unsure for which films you have already purchased tickets, contact Rachel Appell.

What if I already bought tickets, but would like to purchase the subscription package?
We are happy to prorate the cost of upgrading your individual ticket purchase to a subscription package.

How do I watch on my Smart TV?
