9AM-4PM (early and late care available for additional fee)

As a specialty program, we introduce campers to a new theme each week and offer a variety of traditional camp activities including instructional and recreational swim, sports, ropes course, arts & crafts, music, science & nature PLUS theme focused periods with professional specialists. This brings new and exciting programming each week and allows campers to explore and discover something new each day!

Themes are introduced to our younger campers through exciting, engaging, and unique programming each week with our specialists. This is achieved with age-appropriate activities and length of periods.

Our older campers experience our weekly themes on a whole different level! With more advanced programming to meet the development abilities of our growing campers, themes are enhanced and campers are immersed in hands on, fun and challenging experiences. Upper camp participants will also enjoy choice periods and weekly trip based on the theme.

SUMMER 2018 WEEKLY THEMES

Week 1: July 1-5
Party in the USA
It’s a party in the USA! Celebrate the holiday week as we kick off our exciting summer camp season! We are so excited to see how patriotic your camper can be! Wear your red white and blue and prepare for Fourth Of July with camp wide games, crafts and more!


Week 2: July 8-12
Splish Splash into summer
Who says we have to limit our fun in the water to just the pool? Cool off at JCC Rockland Camps for a week of splish splashing fun. Stay cool this week while playing all sorts of refreshing water games. Make sure to pack an extra bathing suit because this week guarantees to be dripping with fun.


Week 3: July 15-19
Summer Fairytale
Once upon a time at….JCC Rockland Camps, campers will have the opportunity to show their creativity and imagination. Does your child’s story include fairies, dragons or unicorns? This week your camper will have the opportunity to live in their own fairytale just like Cinderella or Shrek.


Week 4: July 22-26
Blast from the past
It is time to travel back in time with JCC Rockland Camps. We will be visiting your parents, grandparent and maybe even great grandparents generations! We will get groovy with the 1960’s, disco like the 1970’s, kick it “old school” like the 80’s and much more!


Week 5: July 29 – Aug 2
Passport to another country
This week, Discover campers will be traveling to other parts of the world. Traditions, food, art and much more will be celebrated from each country.
Campers will have the opportunity to engage in activities that will teach them about different countries around the world.


Week 6: Aug 5-9
Animal Planet
Does your camper love animals? Campers will have the opportunity to meet and greet with some of their favorite animals, along with ones they may have never seen! While spending time with these animals, campers will learn cool & exciting facts. Who can resist a chance to meet some furry and non-furry animals.


Week 7: Aug 12-16
J-Games
Campers need to bring their game faces. It’s Color War! This week, JCC Rockland campers will be coming together and competing in activities, games
and even song competitions! When will it break? How will it break? Will you be on the white team? The Blue Team? Or the Purple Team????? Come to the JCC Rockland this week to find out how exhilarating and motivating this week can be for your camper!


Week 8: August 19-23
Artistic Creations
It’s time to get creative. Each camper will have the opportunity to channel their inner artist and creativity while creating hand on projects that they will be excited to bring home.

JCC Camps are permitted to operate by the New York State Department of Health. JCC Camps are inspected twice a year and the inspection reports are filed at the Rockland County Department of Health.
