As a specialty program, we introduce campers to a new theme each week and offer a variety of traditional camp activities including instructional and recreational swim, sports, ropes course, arts & crafts, music, science & nature PLUS theme focused periods with professional specialists. This brings new and exciting programming each week and allows campers to explore and discover something new each day!

Themes are introduced to our younger campers through exciting, engaging, and unique programming each week with our specialists. This is achieved with age-appropriate activities and length of periods.

Our older campers experience our weekly themes on a whole different level! With more advanced programming to meet the development abilities of our growing campers, themes are enhanced and campers are immersed in hands on, fun and challenging experiences. Upper camp participants will even enjoy choice periods.


Week 1: 6/29-7/3
(no camp, Friday, 7/3)
3 Cheers for the Red, White and Blue
Get ready to wave your flag high, as we kick off the summer by celebrating the Fourth of July! Campers will be immersed in all things red, white, and blue, while we celebrate America’s birthday. Crafts, cooking, sports activities, and more will be centered around Independence Day.

Week 2: 7/6-7/10
Roll the Dice
It’s game time! This week turn into a life-sized game board, and it’s your turn to play! Enjoy popular games from other countries in the world, play giant versions of your favorite games, and create a brand new game with your fellow campers! Games shows, mini golf and inflatable games will add to the excitement of the week! Get ready to shuffle up a week of fun!

Week 3: 7/13-7/17
Once upon a time at….JCC Rockland Camps, campers will have the opportunity to show their creativity and imagination. Does your child’s story include fairies, dragons or unicorns? This week your camper will have the opportunity to live in their own fairytale just like Cinderella or Shrek.

Week 4: 7/20-7/24
Your camper will be immersed in all things animation this week! From Disney to Nickelodeon, the fourth week of camp is sure to excite your Discover camper. We will participate in different dress-up days, learn to draw different characters, play various character themed games, both inside and on the sports fields, and so much more.

Week 5: 7/27-7/31
We’ll all be clowning around during our circus/carnival week, one of the most exciting weeks of the summer. Everyone joins together for our camp-wide carnival, where our campers challenge themselves in different carnival style games, enjoy delicious cotton candy and snow cones, bounce on the inflatables, and so much more!
We’ll also focus on different circus themed activities, such as juggling, games, and more during the week.

Week 6: 8/3-8/7
Animal exploration is the name of the game during our sixth week of camp. Our campers will get up close and personal with many different animals during a visit from an incredible petting zoo, live animals shows, and a ton of other animal themed activities. Week 6 is sure to delight all of our animal lovers during this “wild” week of camp.

Week 7: 8/10-8/14
“One, two, three, four we want color war, five, six, seven, eight, hurry up and DON’T BE LATE!!!” Will color war break this week? We’ll have to wait and see! This highly anticipated week of the summer is one the highlights of our entire camp season. Campers engage in friendly competition, while learning new skills and the important value of sportsmanship and fair play.

Week 8: 8/17-8/21
Don’t forget your towel and extra swim suits this week! Our Discover campers will have loads of splish splash, soaking wet fun during week two. Water inflatables, various pool games, water themed competitions, and much more will surely keep our campers cool in the hot summer sun!

JCC Camps are permitted to operate by the New York State Department of Health. JCC Camps are inspected twice a year and the inspection reports are filed at the Rockland County Department of Health.
