Assistant Site Leader

Reports to Site Leader

Job Duties:
  • Implementation of daily schedule of activities and events
  • Assist with staff schedules and placement
  • Assist in training and supervision of staff
  • Overall supervision and organization of program
  • Daily positive interaction with youth, parents and co-workers
  • Assist with special event and Club planning and implementation
  • Work in a team environment
  • Implementation and follow through on all program policies and procedures
  • Assist with upkeep of site location for cleanliness and to meet all New York State Office of Children & Family Services guidelines
  • Attend on-going staff trainings
  • Organize, plan, implement and supervise specific program aspects as assigned by Site Director
  • Oversee daily responsibilities such as staff subs, time sheets, newsletter, monthly attendance reports, as assigned, etc.
  • 18 credits or more in childcare related courses, Associates degree or higher preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years experience working with youth ages 3-13 years old
  • 2 or more years as a supervisor is a plus
  • Summer Camp experience a plus
  • Great communication skills both oral and written
  • Creative, energetic and out-going

M-F 2-6:30pm during the school year on regular school days (hours vary based on site needs.)
Additional hours on half days and no school days optional.
