‘The Melt Method’ Claims to Relieve Pain Without Pills

World News Videos | US News Videos

The MELT Method focuses on rehydrating connective tissue and rebalancing the nervous system as well as releasing stuck stress and inflammation in the whole body. It gives options for improving flexibility while providing an alternative to pain meds.

It is not a myofascial release or body rolling technique. Using MELT Hand and Foot Treatment Balls, and specialized soft rollers, it’s like giving yourself a massage! This manual-therapy based method helps you help yourself feel better.

Melt focuses on alignment, stress, muscle tightness and more. This is a self-massage technique used as a way to manage your pain and stiffness from body conditions such as arthritis, fibromyalgia and other conditions that make your body sensitive to living.

MELT has recently been featured on Good Morning America, Nightline, The Rachael Ray Show and The Dr. Oz Show and is the innovative technique developed by New York-based manual therapist, Sue Hitzmann. MELT works on the cellular level of your body’s connective tissue and nervous system.
When you learn MELT, you are rehydrating the microscopic connective tissue, which loses fluid as we live and age. MELT techniques help you reduce inflammation and relieve the pain that comes from Arthritis and other chronic body conditions. In JCC Rockland’s Russin Fitness & Wellness Center’s MELT Workshops and Classes, Advanced MELT Trainer Karel Littman teaches you this technique and you’ll feel body changes immediately.

MELT is for all ages and fitness levels. The techniques are easy to learn and anyone can do them. Additionally, MELT goes at a pace that is good for sensitive bodies and may be done seated.

Join us for our MELT Intro Workshops, our MELT Focused Workshops and our regular weekly MELT classes. We look forward to helping you live better, feel better and workout better with MELT!

My body and mind felt relaxed after class last Tues. I even treated myself to a nap before dinner. The most noticeable change for me is that my sleep is more restful and I do not wake up in the a.m. tired. A nice feeling…See you at Tuesday class.”
